The Fan Solitaire

Objective

The Fan is a patience card game generally categorized in family of Fan type games where all cards are dealt face-up from the start. The game is played with standard 52-cards set with aim to build all cards into the foundation piles.

Setup

TABLEAU - Tableau has 18 fans and all 52 cards are dealt face-up at the beginning. 17 fans get 3 cards each and 18th fan gets the remaining one card.

FOUNDATION - Four empty foundation piles.

Gameplay

  • Only the top card of each fan can be played to another fan or foundation.
  • Cards in a fan are build-down by suit.
  • Foundations can be started with Ace and are build-up by suit.
  • Empty fan can be filled with a King.
  • There is no redeal.

The game ends once all cards are moved onto the foundation piles.

Controls

  • Drag and drop cards between two piles.
  • Double click a card to automatically move to the foundation.
