Acme Solitaire

Acme Solitaire is a variant of Canfield Solitaire. The aim of Acme Solitaire is to build four foundations by suit using a standard 52-card deck.

FOUNDATION - Four foundation piles. At the beginning all aces are dealt face-up to the foundation piles.

RESERVE - 13 cards are dealt face-down to the reserve pile. The top card of reserve pile is turned face up.

TABLEAU - Four tableau piles; each pile is dealt one card face-up.

STOCK - After dealing cards to the reserve, foundation, and tableau, remaining cards are set aside forming a stock pile.

WASTE - An empty waste pile.

  • Foundation piles are built up by suit starting from Ace to King.
  • On the tableau, cards are played in descending order by suit.
  • Cards to the tableau piles can be played from the reserve, waste pile, or another tableau pile.
  • Only top card of a tableau pile is available for play.
  • Empty tableau pile is always filled first with top card from the reserve pile. If there is no card in the reserve, then it can be filled with a card from the waste pile or another tableau pile.
  • Top card from the reserve pile can be played to the foundation or, the tableau. Whenever a card is moved from the reserve pile, face-down top card of the reserve pile is turned face up.
  • Player can click on the stock pile anytime which deals 1 card face-up onto the waste pile. 1 redeal is allowed so when all cards from the stock pile are moved to the waste pile, it can be moved back to the stock pile by clicking on empty stock pile.
  • Top card from the waste pile can be moved onto the tableau or foundation piles.

The game ends once all cards are moved onto the foundation piles.

  • Drag and drop cards between piles.
  • Click top card in the stock pile to draw card to the waste pile.
  • Double click card in the waste pile, or the reserve pile, or any of the tableau piles to automatically move to the foundation.
  • Click empty stock pile to move cards from the waste pile to the stock pile.
