Congress Solitaire

Congress Solitaire is played with two sets of 52-cards deck where aim is to build all eight suits up from Ace to King.

TABLEAU - Player is dealt 1 card each into eight piles. This set of piles is known as the tableau.

STOCK - After dealing cards to the tableau, remaining cards are set aside forming a stock pile.

WASTE - An empty waste pile.

FOUNDATION - Eight empty foundation piles.

  • In the tableau, cards are built down irrespective of suit. Only top card of a tableau pile is available for play.
  • An empty pile in tableau can only be filled with a card from the waste.
  • Player can click on the stock pile anytime which deals 1 card face-up onto the waste pile. Redeal is not allowed.
  • Top card from the waste pile is allowed to be moved onto the tableau or foundation piles.
  • Foundation piles can contain cards starting from Ace so as Aces become available, it can be placed in one of the foundation piles. Cards of the same suit can then be played on each Ace in ascending order, from low (2) to high (King).
  • Cards moved to the foundation can not be moved back to the tableau.

The game ends once all cards are moved to the foundation in their respective suit order.

  • Drag and drop cards between two piles.
  • Click top card in the stock pile to draw card to the waste pile.
  • Single or Double click (as configued in settings) a card in the waste pile or, any of the tableau piles for automatic play (which first checks for play to the foundation and then to the tableau).
