Freecell Solitaire

The aim of Freecell Solitaire is to build all four suits up from Ace to King using a standard 52-card deck.

TABLEAU - At the begining player is dealt all 52 cards face-up into eight piles; Four piles contain seven cards and remaining four piles contain six cards each. This set of piles is known as the tableau.

FOUNDATION - Four empty foundation piles.

CELLS - Four empty cells.

  • On the tableau, cards are played in descending order, alternate colors.
  • An empty pile in the tableau can be filled with any card regardless of its rank.
  • Foundation piles can contain cards starting from Ace so as Aces become available, it can be placed in one of the foundation piles. Cards of the same suit may be played on each Ace in ascending order, from low (2) to high (King).
  • Four cells can be used to place one card at any time regardless of its rank if it is empty.
  • Any cell card or top card of any of the eight tableau piles can be moved to another tableau pile, or an empty cell, or an empty tableau, or a foundation.
  • Complete or partial tableaus which are built in alternate colors can also be moved to existing tableaus, or an empty tableau.
  • Once a card is played to the foundation it can not be moved back to the tableau or a cell.

The game ends once all cards are moved onto the foundation piles.

  • Drag and drop cards between piles.
  • Double click top card in any of the tableau piles to automatically move to an empty cell.
