Agnes Solitaire

The aim of Agnes Solitaire is to build four foundations by suit using a standard 52-card deck.

TABLEAU - At the begining player is dealt 28 cards into seven piles. The first pile (left to right) gets one card, the second pile gets two cards, and so on, so the last pile gets seven cards. This set of piles is known as the tableau. The top card of each pile in the tableau is turned face up, so that there are 7 face-up cards.

RESERVE - 1 card each is dealt to 7 reserve piles.

FOUNDATION - Four foundation piles. First foundation pile is dealt 1 card which acts as the lead card for the game.

STOCK - Remaining cards are set aside forming a stock pile.

  • On the tableau, cards are played in descending order, alternate colors. Whenever a card is moved from one pile of the tableau to another, face-down top card of the first pile is turned face up.
  • An empty pile in the tableau can only be filled with a card which is one rank lower than the first card in the foundation (lead card) and can then be played in descending order, alternate colors, wrapping from Ace to King if necessary.
  • Top card in the reserve pile can be played to the tableau or foundation piles.
  • Player can click on the stock pile anytime which deals 1 card each to the 7 reserve piles. After two such deals to the reserve, last 2 remaining cards in the stock pile are turned face up making them a reserve pile of their own.
  • Foundations are built up by suit starting from the lead card.
  • Top card from the foundation is allowed to be moved to any of the tableau piles.

The game ends once all cards are moved onto the foundation piles.

  • Drag and drop cards between tableau piles and/or foundation piles.
  • Click top card in the stock pile to deal cards to the reserve piles.
  • Double click card in the reserve pile or any of the tableau piles to automatically move to the foundation.
