Baroness (aka Five Piles, Thirteens) Solitaire

The aim of Baroness Solitaire is to clear all cards from the tableau. This game has a setup similar to Aces Up but played like Pyramid

TABLEAU - At the begining player is dealt 5 face-up cards into five piles, one card to each pile. This set of piles is known as the tableau.

STOCK - After dealing cards to the tableau, remaining cards are set aside forming a stock pile.

WASTE - Empty waste pile.

  • Top cards from the tableau piles can be removed in pair if the sum of their values equals 13. Jack is valued at 11, Queen 12 and King 13. So King can be removed alone.
  • An empty tableau pile can be filled with a top card from another tableau pile.
  • When no cards can be removed from the tableau piles, five cards can be drawn from the stock pile to the tableau, one card to each tableau pile.
  • Only top cards in the tableau piles are available for play.

The game is won when all cards have been removed from the tableau piles.

  • Drag and drop cards between the piles.
